I was taking by shower this morning when I realized that I need to make this year more positive and empowering....for me and my husband.
I just got married 19 December 2007 and I was so happy that it was finally over. We had just 3 months preparation for everything. And we went just a little over our intended budget of 100,000 thousand pesos.
So here I am, married and I still have left-over debt from my single days. Which I am trying and praying very hard that I will be able to settle within the next 6 months or earlier. I had to shell out most of the expenses for the wedding prep - since my fiancee then, wasn't able to save. It was really hard for me then - I was worried and stressed-out. And I still so happy and it was over. And it was great!
I watched "The Proud Filipina" this week and they featured "The Secret". It got me interested...I think I saw the book one time in a bookstore - thinking probably it was one of those fiction historicals like the "The Vinci Code", "The Labyrinth" and such. But, I was not in the mood to buy a new book. So, I researched it on the internet and saw the first 20 mins of the movie in YouTube...
The principle, I have known for sometime now. The Law of Attraction they are saying is visualization and affirmation. Even, Bro. Mike Velarde of El Shaddai is preaching this several time over...have a vision and affirm it by writing it down (prayer request) or speaking of it (claim that it has been received). Since, it has been writing somewhere in the Bible that the power of life and death is in our tongue.
I have used the power of positivity, but honestly...it has been an on-again-off-again thing for me. But I want to try this again, with my new husband - whom i think can use this exercise to feel good about himself. What I plan to do is printout a saying: "Thank God, I am happy, healthy, wealthy and wise!" And place it at the foot of our bed. So it will be the last thing you see before sleeping and first thing you see when you wake up.
And I will writing about the consequences of this...
A blissful New Year to all of us this 2008!
